Summary:

In this activity, students will use My World to construct maps, learning what distinguishes helpful maps from unhelpful maps.

Students will edit color schemes, symbols, and consider how best to represent data visually in a map. Reflecting upon characteristics that make a map useful and becoming familiar with the different My World map tools will help students make quality maps and interpret maps not of their own design.

Included is a My World project file necessary to complete the activity.
