Wondering about Waves

PASCO's Wondering About Waves Teacher Resource Kit is an inquiry into the everyday phenomena of sound and light.

Students study and manipulate sound waves using WAVEPORT software. WAVEPORT allows students to manipulate attributes of sound wave properties such as amplitude and frequency, allowing them to see the impact of their actions and to hear them. In the light activities, students use a light box to reveal the colors of the visible spectrum and study the ray behavior of light. Six investigations into light and sound provide approximately 18 days of classroom activities.
