4 probeware-based labs for AP Chemistry

PASCO and Carolina Biological have jointly developed these probeware-based labs to support the effective introduction of probeware into the AP Chemistry classroom. Students collect their own data and construct for themselves an understanding of these important concepts in chemistry.

  • Determine the Ka of Acetic Acid
  • Identify an Unknown Acid
  • Principles of Calorimetry
  • Molecular Mass by Freezing Point Depression

Electronic Workbooks guide the way to successful labs

Time is critical, especially in an AP course. To help you use class and lab time effectively, the AP Lab Kits include Electronic Workbooks, supporting you and your students in successfully completing these required labs.

PASCO's unique Electronic Workbooks help teachers and students in successfully setting up and conducting these AP labs. Each Electronic Workbook provides background information for the lab, setup instructions and visuals, and then prompts student groups through the lab procedure. Students will be guided through the activities of collecting, analyzing and synthesizing data, and are prompted for predictions, observations and summaries throughout the lab.

Electronic workbooks can be saved electronically, printed for grading, and used with your overhead projector for classroom discussion.

Combined with the remarkably easy-to-use PASPORT probeware, this solution helps you meet your student learning goals, lab requirements and brings modern technology effectively into the learning process.

Electronic Workbooks guide students through the experiment process and fully integrate data collection and analysis.
