Summary:

In this activity, students will answer the question, "How might biomes be different in 100 years?"

Students will use My World to assess the current distribution of biomes, examine the effects of cultivation and urbanization on biomes, investigate the historical progress of boreal forests, and see what projections have been made for the future of the Earth's biomes. This activity integrates a wide variety of data, several project files, and serves as an introduction to My World's data analysis capabilities.
