Quantities and Reactions : Titrations

Discover the concentration of an unknown acid solution using acid-base titration.

Titrations

Titration curve showing equivalence point.

Lab Summary:

Titration is an essential process in chemistry. In this lab, you will use a Chemistry Sensor with pH electrode and a Drop Counter to titrate a hydrochloric acid solution of unknown concentration with a sodium hydroxide solution of known concentration. You will use your data and the stoichiometry of the reaction to determine the concentration of the hydrochloric acid solution.
