Quantities and Reactions : Evidence of Reactions

Investigate several chemical reactions, using different methods to look for evidence of chemical change.

Evidence of Reactions

A change of temperature indicates a chemical reaction has occurred. Enlarge Image

Lab Summary:

This exploration includes four different experiments, each providing the students experience with one of the four types of evidence for chemical change: temperature change, color change, gas evolution and formation of a precipitate.

(student version)

Method:

Use the Temperature Sensor, Colorimeter, pH Sensor, and Turbidity Sensor, to investigate various substances and look at the evidence of a chemical reaction.
