A safer approach to chemical water quality analysis

Testing for ion concentrations in water samples has always posed a challenge for teachers. In the lab and especially in the field, handling of chemical has been a concern. With the ezSample Water Quality test kits, you now can get quality chemical-based test results quickly and easily -- and avoid contact with the chemicals!

How? The ezSample Snap Vials contain a pre-formulated reagent in a vacuum-sealed vial. The tip of the vial is scored so students simply place the vial in their water sample, snap the tip, and the vial fills instantly, mixing the sample with the color-forming agent. The chemicals remain safely inside the vial -- your students never need to come into contact with the reagent.

Testing for nitrates has been a particular challenge, as the typical test kit relies on Cadmium, a chemical most schools want nothing to do with. Avoid Cadmium entirely with the ezSample test for nitrates. This zinc-based test means your students can get quality chemical analysis results for nitrate without worrying about Cadmium at all.

Simpler, more accurate measurements

The PASPORT Water Quality Colorimeter provides the extra benefit of measuring the concentration electronically -- no more holding samples up for comparison and "guessing" at the closest match. This Water Quality Colorimeter uses advanced technology to scan the colored sample and automatically report a concentration for the ion. It's as easy as inserting the sample, pressing the button and reading the result. Pre-programmed to automatically analyze for 7 common ions: nitrate, phosphate, ammonia, sulfate, fluoride, chlorine and iron.

What's more -- fewer steps in the process means fewer errors, and better results. The coloring reagent is pre-formulated in a precise dose, vacuum-sealed in the Snap Vial.
