Transpiration in a Plant Leaf -- November, 2001

Equipment setup is easier with two people: one to hold the plant seedling in place, and one to attach the plastic tubing and clamp.

Avoid getting the sensor wet by mounting it securely to the support rod of the lab stand before trying to attach the plant / tubing assembly.

An eyedropper may be helpful to fill the tubing with water or to refill it as you are inserting the plant stem.

Do not move the Pressure Sensor up or down on the support rod while recording data.
