What is the "edVentures in Technology" Program?

The edVentures programs consist of six-day professional development sessions that provide teachers with powerful new resources and capabilities. Attendees meet and build relationships with educators from around the world while increasing their own technology skill level.

Mobility in Your Hands

Mobile and wireless technologies are a special theme of "edVentures in Technology." Participants experience them, explore their potential and discuss their educational implications. To support this theme and facilitate these activities, every participant receives a Palm® handheld computer. As one of the program's sponsors, PASCO's new Palm probeware solution was presented as an exciting new method for integrating technology into education.

Program attendees observed comprehensive demonstrations on how to use the equipment and the power of electronic data-collection. They were then given ample time to collect their own data involving a variety of interactive, hands-on activities.
